August 27th , The week-end started on Friday morning practice/qualifying session, the car stopped after only 2 laps due to an electrical connection came un-done. In the afternoon session, we were moving up in times, when I noticed an oil pressure warning light on the dashboard and headed to the pits after 3 laps that saved the engine for Saturday’s race (1) For pix of the CHAMP-CAR race (click here)

Starting 28th did not help the matters for the race, but I picked cars one by one and by 6th lap we were running 17th (click here for on-board video) when I got a mechanical problem flag, and since we still had an other race (2) on Sunday I pitted and the crew asked me to stop the engine (the same oil leak problem from Friday’s second qualifying session)

The crew worked hard to replace all the seals on the engine for the Sunday’s race, but due to severe weather conditions Champ car officials cancelled all races on Sunday.So we headed to Mont-Tremblant for the final two races of the year.

Mont-Tremblant week-end

September 23rd/24th saw us at the legendary Mont-Tremblant, with the raining season under way, my Hankook shoed Formula1600 car preformed as expected in the practice session but red flag at the beginning of the qualifying session put us at the end of the grid and we started the Saturday’s race (1) 18th. Passing 8 cars in just one lap and keeping the position until the checkered flag, thus finishing 10th. The Sunday’s race we started 14th, and with the same kind of driving style saw us capture the 9th spot and our second top 10 finish. (click here for on-board video)
